Bauhaus-inspired Birdhouse for pole or wall installation

Functional, simple, beautiful – the trinity of Bauhaus design is also in this birdhouse, which is formed from a single piece of sheet steel. The bird house can be installed on a wall or on a stand – the latter is supplied as an option. The large roof offers the best protection from rain. A branch, available free of charge in the nearest forest, is inserted through two holes at the front and serves as a landing place for hungry birds.

The bird house is made of stainless steel, optionally brushed or powder-coated white.

Notes about setting up the bird house with stand:

The scope of delivery optionally includes a stand in the form of a dismountable stainless steel pole with an earth spike 1.50 metres long. This stand can be inserted into the ground or – which is recommended for the balcony – into a large flower pot.

The stand is sufficient to anchor the bird house solidly and out of reach of cats under normal weather conditions. In the event of a strong storm, the bird house must be secured in good time.

It should be noted that the total height of the erected bird house depends on how deep the stand is inserted into the ground. The stability also depends on the strength of the soil. When installing in regions with a particularly stormy climate or very loose soil, we recommend installing with a wooden stake or post.

In order to anchor the bird house even deeper (and thus more securely) or to obtain a greater installation height, we offer an extension piece with a length of 50 centimetres – see below.

As an alternative to the ground spike, we offer a square concrete base weighing eleven kilograms (see below), which is suitable not least for the terrace or balcony. The stand included with the bird house is fixed in the concrete base by means of a metal sleeve. We recommend this base (available in two colours) for small to medium-sized birdhouses and for installation in sufficiently wind-protected areas.
