Minimalistic Birdhouse made in Germany

The traditional shape of a cottage is only being hinted at in this minimalist birdhouse yet can be recognized at first glance. In the roof there is a small slot for receiving food dumplings, in addition grains for the birds can be spread on the house's floor. A small branch (available in your nearest forest) can be put through two dedicated holes and serves as a landing bar for the birds.

The bird house comes in two sizes. The small one is made of aluminum (powdercoated white), the larger one is made of stainless steel (brushed).

Notes about setting up the bird house:

The scope of delivery includes a stand in the form of a dismountable stainless steel pole with an earth spike 1.50 metres long. This stand can be inserted into the ground or – which is recommended for the balcony – into a large flower pot.

If the stand is not required, we can deliver the bird house without the stand for a price reduction. Please contact us for this.

The stand is sufficient to anchor the bird house solidly and out of reach of cats under normal weather conditions. In the event of a strong storm, the bird house must be secured in good time.

It should be noted that the total height of the erected bird house depends on how deep the stand is inserted into the ground. The stability also depends on the strength of the soil. When installing in regions with a particularly stormy climate or very loose soil, we recommend installing with a wooden stake or post.

In order to anchor the bird house even deeper (and thus more securely) or to obtain a greater installation height, we offer an extension piece with a length of 50 centimetres – see below.

As an alternative to the ground spike, we offer a square concrete base weighing eleven kilograms (see below), which is suitable not least for the terrace or balcony. The stand included with the bird house is fixed in the concrete base by means of a metal sleeve. We recommend this base (available in two colours) for small to medium-sized birdhouses and for installation in sufficiently wind-protected areas.
