If it is not possible to put a birdhouse with stand and ground spike in the ground or a large flower pot, this concrete base weighing about eleven kilograms is recommended. It contains a thread in the center for screwing on an included stainless steel sleeve. This takes the base, which is fixed with a grub screw on the side.
The concrete base for birdhouses comes in two colors: gray and anthracite.
Important notes:
The concrete base is best suited for small to medium sized birdhouses. For large birdhouses we recommend installation with ground spike, with an extension piece if necessary – see below.
The concrete base is not recommended for places that are regularly exposed to strong winds. Also elsewhere, the birdhouse should be taken down for safety if strong winds are predicted.
Installing the birdhouse on the concrete base will result in a different overall height than if part of the base is placed in the ground.
The Allen wrench that secures the stand in the sleeve of the concrete base is included with the birdhouse, but not with the concrete base. However, it is also part of any commercially available assortment of tools with Allen wrenches.
