The drunken ball has had a bit too much (respectively an eccentric metal core) and thus wobbles around quite unpredictably. It is not a spinning top in the narrow sense, but still a closely related piece of craftsmanship from the workshop of spinning top artist Christoff Guttermann. Anyone who has turned wood before knows that a perfect ball is one of the biggest challenges. The ball should be carefully approached: If you throw it with force it will escape and jump from the table.
The Drunken Ball is being handcrafted individually by German artist Christoff Guttermann. It is made of walnut wood.
