This spinning top was created in a cooperation with the Bauhaus museum of Berlin. It is large and massive so it can be turned with one hand or between the palms of both hands for a long lasting rotation.
Seven included cardboard discs can be applied. Each of them visualizes how specific amounts of color blend into each other to create a new color while the top rotates. This is based on several color schemes according to Goethe, Schopenhauer, Hölzl and others. Explanations are written on the beck of each disc.
Regardless of the scientific background this is a fascinating toy which stimulates our senses.
This spinning top is being manufactured in the south of Germany for the Swiss family-run company Naef which has a long tradition of making high quality wooden toys. The wood is taken from sustainably menaged forests in Europe. The varnish is eco-friendly and no risk for your health.
