The issue with pleasing depictions of animals is that much too often they end up in belitteling and kitsch. Designer Klaus Haapaniemi, on the other hand, dedicates his collection to the almost mythical magic of the variety of shapes and colors in the Finnish flora and fauna. And reminds us with motives like this one that even well-known genera such as the pheasant and the rhubarb plant radiate a fairytale-like exoticism.
