One of the first objects we added to our newly founded online shop is this concrete owl sculpture. It was designed and produced by Chris, a dear friend and young artist who had great talent and dedication.
Chris manufactured the owl in an elaborate process which started from a 3D print and included several casts. The fine precise lines and the polished surface gave the rugged concrete material a graceful note and made it almost feel soft when you touched it.
The owl never became a permanent article in our shop because the necessary infrastructure for series production was initially not there. And when things got ready in the course of this year 2019 – a tragic accident tore Chris from life. Suddenly, just like that.
The owl stays in the shop, in loving memory of a friend and artist we miss.
