Original Black Forest Design Cuckoo Clock with Mechanical Pendulum (various colors)
The minimalist cuckoo clock combines tradition and modernity with a sympathetic wink. This also pleased the MOMA in New York which has included the clock in its permanent collection.
This clock is by no means an imitation: it is made in the Black Forest and runs a genuine mechanical pendulum movement whose cylindrical pendulum has to be adjusted daily to keep the clock going. A hand-painted wooden cuckoo appears in the little door of the housing, acoustically accompanied by the typical little bell and the traditional Black Forest cuckoo flutes.
The cuckoo clock strikes the number of hours every full hour and again once on the half hour.
To ensure that the cuckoo only chirps when the sound is desired, it can be activated or deactivated by means of a device located at the bottom of the housing.
The clock case is made of MDF (compressed wood fibre) and lacquered in various colours. The pendulum chain is silver, the steel pendulums are always powder-coated white.
The available colors are:
Black (signal black RAL 9004) with white hands
White (pure white RAL 9010) with orange hands
Red (signal red RAL 3001) with white hands
Purple (purple red RAL 3004) with white hands
Beige-Grey (beige grey RAL 7006) with white hands
Blue (night blue RAL 5022) with white hands
Other bespoke colours are possible – please contact us for this.
There are more versions of this cuckoo clock – see below.
Please note:
The clock must be hung at a height of at least 175 centimetres. If it sits lower, the running time will be shortened.
The mechanical movement is perfectly adjusted when delivered. However, certain issues may occur due to improper setting of the time. These can usually be solved remotely without any problems. A real defect in the clock is very rare. Well gladly help via phone or email.
