Handcrafted Triple-Wing Boomerang "Apple" made of European Woods (flies 15 m)
-50%
This boomerang is made for throwing with the left hand. This is a new and unused discontinued model. Please note the available stock above the price display.
With its well-controlled flight characteristics this three-wing boomerang is a perfect choice for beginners. Its moderate flight pace at a flight distance of around 15 meters also makes catching the returning boomerang a relatively minor challenge. The boomerang consists of several thin layers of Finnish birch with an upper layer of light apple wood with a nice grain. The wood is treated with natural hard wax oil. The motto "Gutes kommt zurück" (good things come back) can be found as a brand stamp on the boomerang's underside.
We deliver two versions of this boomerang for throwing with the right or left hand. When giving this boomerang as a present please note that not all left-handed people throw with the left hand.
The boomerang comes with easy-to-understand throwing instructions.
We summarize the basic rules here:
- The less wind in the air, the better the boomerang flies
- If there is some wind: face it directly and aim the boomerang slightly outwards towards 2 o'clock (throwing hand on the right) or 10 o'clock (throwing hand on the left)
- Hold the boomerang upright between your thumb and your angled index finger and tilt it ever so slightly outwards like a clock hand to approx. 1 o'clock (throwing hand on the right) or 11 o'clock (throwing hand on the left)
- Slightly swing backwards and throw aiming slightly upwards, thereby setting the boomerang in the fastest possible rotation
- If the boomerang flies too high and far on the way back, it was tilted too much outwards when thrown (see step 3)
- Stop the returning boomerang with a clapping motion between your palms
Throwing a Boomerang is a meditative and nature-loving sport which can be learned by every age group from 6 years up. This makes the boomerang a perfect gift idea for the young and old. However, children should only use the boomerang under supervision to minimize the risk of injury.
A boomerang is never to be aimed at people or animals!
Each boomerang is an individually handmade piece from the workshop of German woodcrafting artist Christian Kliem whose more than 25 years of experience and dedication go into the production of his traditional flying objects. From gluing and pressing the thin layers of wood and the precise shaping of the aerodynamic edges to the final treatment with solvent-free hard wax oil, every work step is carried out in good handcraft tradition with conventional machines and tools. The basis of each boomerang is formed by a few layers of Finnish birch, which are topped with a grained veneer from other European woods. The individual production shows itself in the excellent flight characteristics of the boomerangs, which do what cheaply manufactured models promise in vain. With a little practice, you will quickly experience sustainable success.
