The almost 100-year-old Bauhaus building game is a sought-after collector's item and the best-known design by Alma Siedhoff-Buscher, who studied at the State Bauhaus in Weimar from 1922 to 1925. The "Little Ship Building Game" was originally part of the children's room in the model house "Am Horn" in Weimar. It has since been seen in design exhibitions and museums worldwide.
Nevertheless, this game is meant to be touched and freely playied with. It offers both children and adults an intuitive, self-explanatory approach to the design of objects and scenes from the green, blue, yellow, red and white colored wooden blocks.
The traditional Swiss manufacturer Naef Spiele has been producing the Bauhaus building game since 1977 in collaboration with the Bauhaus Archive in Berlin. It is being manufactured in the first-class and flawless quality that Naef stands for. This means: absolutely precise cutting, manual sanding and paintwork that is harmless to health in beautiful bright colors.
