This mobile consists of three very finely crafted stainless steel dragonflies that sway and turn in a graceful dance. The charm of this mobile lies in the wafer-thin material and perfect balance of the dragonflies. The filigree perforation of the wings, which would be difficult to do by hand, is the result of a photochemical etching technique.
The connecting rods of the mobile are also made of stainless steel. The mobile comes with a cord for hanging and a small carabine ring for attachment.
The following colors of the mobile are available:
- Black: Dragonflies in black paint, injection-molded
- Golden: dragonflies plated with brass
- Silver: dragonflies made of polished stainless steel
The mobile comes in a gift box made of cardboard.
The gracefully balanced dragonflies are a design by Danish designer and cosmopolitan Torben Kragh Jørgensen who found the inspiration in an Indonesian children's toy. He founded the NAV Scandinavia brand which today has two design offices in Denmark and Shanghai and promotes the exchange of young designers between the two countries. In manufacturing in China, there is a close cooperation with the manufacturing company with careful observance of high standards of worker rights and environmental protection.
