The Swedish girl's name Gittan is the inspiration for this rug's weave pattern with pyramid shapes. The bold black-and-white contrast livens up the room, yet remains modestly Scandinavian. For this rug threads of plastic foil are woven with the same craftsmanship as cotton fibers. The rug is therefore extremely robust and durable and can also be laid out on the balcony or terrace. Stains are easy to rinse out with cold water.

In Sweden, woven synthetic rugs have a tradition which goes back to the 1950s. The rug is being produced in Sweden. The weaving machines still require some manual work which is why small differences in size may appear.
care instructions
Stains can be easily rinsed out of the rug with cold water (max. 30º) and - if needed - a small amount of detergent. Avoid rubbing the rug. If needed you can shape the wet carpet by gently stretching the sides but not pulling the edgings. Let it dry afterwards.
Please never fold the rug.
about using the rug outdoors
Sunlight: If the rug is exposed to direct sunshine for a long time the colours may fade. You may want to turn the rug from time to time to wear it even.
Heat: If the rug is being placed on a hot surface (like a sun-heated terrace) it may slightly shrink and the edgings might be a little wavy. If this happens wet the rug and gently shape it by stretching the sides but not pulling the edgings. Let it dry afterwards.
Rain: Water does not damage this rug. However after a heavy rain hang it dry.
Cold: Don't leave the rug outside in the wintertime because the cold temperatures cause the edgings to break.
