Small Retro Tube Radio as Kit for Assembly
Please note that this kit comes with a German manual only. There is no English version.
This kit provides a fun and educational excursion into the early history of broadcasting and audio. The components – including of course an old-fashioned amplifier tube – you can assemble a functional radio with typical tube sound. The radio receives shortwave stations from 3.5 to 12 megahertz from all over the world and partly also CB radio frequencies. With fully charged batteries the radio can be operated for about ten hours.Note: The case of the radio is a cardboard box, the wood grain is printed on. Real, however, are the tube and the three rotary switches for frequency, volume and feedback.
Radios and other audio equipment were built using tube technology until the 1950s, before the transistors took over. Not only musicians love the special sound and warm glow of the good old tube with glow wires.
The kit comes with a step-by-step guide.
ATTENTION: This kit is not a toy for children and recommended for children over 14 years.
