Sugo Cork, a small manufacturer in the Portuguese town of Santa Maria da Feira, produces first-class rugs in a unique process . Based on traditional weaving techniques, Sugo has developed a method of incorporating the material cork into the carpet fibers - and with it its numerous qualities: cork is light, elastic, waterproof and resistant to abrasion; it dampens sounds and resists bacteria.
